About Us

From 60 Square Meters to Goldsmith Distillery

Goldsmith Distillery began in 2019 with a simple idea: to create spirits we could truly be proud of.

Our Story

My name is Erekle Shavishvili, and I am the founder of Goldsmith Distillers. What started as a small personal project has grown into a distillery built on craftsmanship, determination, and a constant desire to do better.

Our first distillery was only 60 square meters. I built it largely by hand, with the help of my father. There was no large team, no established production facility, and no easy path ahead. There was simply an idea, a lot of work, and the belief that we could create something of our own.

I still remember bottling our first production — around 800 bottles of our first chacha. It was a small beginning, but for us it meant everything. It was the first proof that an idea could become something real.

Built to Grow

Since that first batch, Goldsmith has continued to grow. We have expanded our production, developed new spirits, invested in better equipment and technology, and constantly challenged ourselves to improve the quality of what we make.

Today, our range includes gin, vodka, pine cone liqueur, different styles of chacha, and other spirits, with more still to come. While our products continue to evolve, the principle behind them remains the same: make spirits that we would be proud to put our own name on.

Not Just What's in the Bottle

It is about the way we work.

We are a small team, but we believe in being strong where it matters most: honesty, professionalism, responsibility, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. We believe that quality cannot be achieved by shortcuts. Every stage of production matters, from the ingredients we choose to the way we distill, blend, prepare, and bottle our spirits.

The spirits industry is competitive, and we never expected to find our place easily. We had to build it ourselves, step by step. From a 60-square-meter workshop and our first 800 bottles, we have worked to establish GoldSmith as a serious distillery with its own identity and its own place in the market.

And we are still building.

Our ambition is not simply to produce more. It is to produce better — to explore new spirits, improve our craft, and introduce our products to more people.
